While some people’s minds instantly turn to the surf and sand when hearing about the Lifesaving World Championships, half of
LWC24 acknowledge the original inhabitants of this area, including the Yugambeh people and family groups within, and recognise their connection to the land, waters and resources in the area now known as the Gold Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
