The Gold Coast Airport is located at Coolangatta on the Queensland and New South Wales border and is the gateway airport to the destination.  

 It is the second largest airport in the state of Queensland and services both domestic and international airlines. It is located 18.5 km (30 minute drive) from Kurrawa, Broadbeach and 45.8km (45 minute drive) from the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. 

The Gold Coast Airport features include duty free and retail shops, dining options, ATMs, currency exchange, free Wi-Fi, luggage trolleys, lost and found, post office.  There is a Rydges hotel located next to the airport and transport options include shuttle services, taxi, rideshare, car hire.


Brisbane Airport is the primary international airport servicing the City of Brisbane and South East Queensland where the Gold Coast is located.  The airport services 31 airlines flying to 50 domestic and 29 international destinations. 

 It is located approximately 14 km north-east of the Brisbane central business district. 

It is 91.2 km (1 hour 30 min) drive to Kurrawa, Broadbeach and 81.5 km (1 hour) drive to the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.

The Brisbane Airport operates 24/7 out of two terminals, one domestic and one international.  Both terminals feature shopping (duty free in the international airport), dining options, luggage trolleys, baggage storage, ATM’s, currency exchange.  The airport is serviced by the Pullman Brisbane Airport Hotel, ibis Brisbane Airport Hotel, Novotel Brisbane Airport. 

Transport options include train services to Brisbane City and the Gold Coast, airport shuttles, buses, taxis, rideshare and hire car.
