The Gold Coast Airport is located at Coolangatta on the Queensland and New South Wales border and is the gateway airport to the destination.

It is located approximately 14 km north-east of the Brisbane central business district.

It is 91.2 km (1 hour 30 min) drive to Kurrawa, Broadbeach and 81.5 km (1 hour) drive to the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.
