There are Valued Volunteer opportunities in most areas with some key opportunities being;

• Emergency Care and First Aid personnel at beach 21 August to 8 September
• Information Guides at the beach. Any time, any day.
• Meet and Greet of VIPs at the GC Aquatic Centre 2-5pm, 1 September to 8 September
• Medal Carriers for presentations at GC Aquatic Centre 12:30-4pm 23 August to 8 September and Ocean 4-6:30pm from 27 August to 8 September (mostly for nippers)
• Opening Ceremony 27 August (3-6:30pm). Victoria Park to Kurrawa Park. Opportunities for adults and nippers.
• IRB Driver and Crew, RWC, SEMO half day shifts at beach 21 August to 8 September
• SERC Patients – Simulated Emergency Rescue competition, similar to a Patrol Competition but in a pool. (7-11am or 11am-5pm Monday 2 September)
• Support at GC Aquatic 23 August to 8 September – Official’s Meal Service (5:30-8am), Gear and equipment (7am-4pm), Runners (7am-4pm), Competitor Clothing Basket transporters (7:30am-4pm), Pool Setters (getting wet, 7:30am-4pm 28 August to 7 September)

Even if you can offer an hour or two to assist, your time is appreciated. Shifts can be split.

All appointed officials and volunteers will receive an accreditation pass with lanyard, event program, as well as access to the opening ceremonies and training free with their appointment and fulfilment of duties.

Officials and volunteers wishing to attend the Welcome Barbeque or Gala Dinner must purchase a separate function ticket.
