The International Life Saving Federation’s membership base consists of incredible people from all over the world who volunteer their time and skills in an effort to prevent drowning globally. Some of these people give extraordinary service to ILS and its regions over many years in voluntary capacities as an Officer, a Member of the Board of Directors or a Member of a Commission or Committee and are conferred awards in the Order of Lifesaving.
A number of the recipients of the Order of Lifesaving will attend the Lifesaving World Championships 2024. A dinner, by invitation only, will be held to celebrate the contribution of Knight’s in the Order of Lifesaving at Kurrawa Surf Club on Sunday 25 August 2024.
LWC24 acknowledge the original inhabitants of this area, including the Yugambeh people and family groups within, and recognise their connection to the land, waters and resources in the area now known as the Gold Coast. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
